Ingredients:
3 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground cayenne
3 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 to 5 lbs of fresh chicken wings
Your favorite BBQ Sauce (about 2 cups)
We like Mango Habanero or Caribbean Jerk (we make extra-large batches and can it so we have some to use throughout the year)
Make a dry rub for the chicken wings. Combine the garlic powder, cumin, salt, pepper, cayenne, and paprika in a large Ziplock bag. Add about 1 tablespoon olive oil and combine all ingredients. Add the cleaned chicken wings to the bag and move them around until they are all coated as evenly as possible with the rub. Let sit for about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Remove wings from the oven and baste the top of each wing with the BBQ sauce. Place back in the oven for another 15 minutes. Take the wings out of the oven, flip each wing over, and baste the other side. Bake for another 15 minutes.
