|A glorious Wine Wednesday from a long, long time ago. I did not accomplish this alone, don't worry!|
Unfortunately, I do not have a new meal to share with you today. Yesterday was, shall we say, not the best day ever. Nothing major happened, just a bunch of little things, which added up to me lifting weights and drinking wine! Surely there is nothing wrong with that.
1) My dog Stella likes water. All dogs like water, this is nothing new. MY DOG will walk to the ends of the earth to find water. She has a serious issue. Yes... she is a toilet drinker. Yes... she eats snow and ice cubes (apparently even frozen water quenches her thirst). In the summer, she will sprint to a watering can, drink as much as she can until I tell her to stop, run away for 30 seconds, and then repeat. Over and over and over. She NEVER has gotten to a point where she has had enough water. (This wouldn't be a big deal, except that my dog who loves water, also has a slight bladder control issue.) So anyway, her NEW thing is drinking all of the water out of the Christmas tree stand. Every time I come home from work, there are Christmas tree needles EVERYWHERE, the tree skirt is all messed up, and Stella acts like nothing happened! HUMPH. I'm scared to put my ornaments on the tree :(
|Doesn't this look like the face of guilt?? |
Seriously, how can I stay mad at her???
2) I must have been emitting some sort of weird vibe yesterday, because I feel like I was personally attacked by 2 different women, out of the blue, for no good reason! I may be exaggerating slightly, because, well, I can be overdramatic, but can't we all?? I won't go into details, because clearly I am the bigger person, but "Back off lady(s)!". They are Cotten-Headed Ninnymuggins.
3) I was going to make this new dish for dinner: Salmon stir-fry loaded with veggies, and only a few noodles, so still healthy! However, the salmon I had bought at Walmart was, shall we say, not pretty. This is why I don't shop at Walmart. Booo Walmart and your seafood selection. I should have known better, it was frozen, that's all they had, but I really didn't feel like driving across town to the actual grocery store that has pretty salmon. I thought maybe I would get lucky and this frozen salmon would look fabulous. NOT. ANYWAY, the dinner tasted good, but it was NOT picture-worthy. Sorry.
On a good note, we finished watching the movie Elf last night, which is my favorite Christmas movie ever. LOVE IT.
How was your Tuesday? Terrible or Terrific?
